Lewis Pipe Statement of CPVC Equivalency to Corzan and Flowguard
Lewis Pipe is a quality producer of CPVC pipe and fittings. Lewis Pipe produces pipe in cts size ranges as well as sch 80 and sch 40 sizes up to 6" diameter. Lewis Pipe's quality control policies are more stringent than industry standards.
In reference to equivalency, Lewis Pipe is a NSF listed facility for the production of CPVC pipe and fittings. As such, Lewis Pipe must produce pipe and fittings in conformance to ASTM standards D2846 for cts pipe and fittings and F-441 for sch40 and 80. Part of the NSF listing also includes multiple random audits each year. The results of these audits prove that Lewis Pipe conforms to these known standards for performance as well as dimensioning.
Lewis Pipe uses formulations based on Kaneka resin. These formulations are NSF approved as well. Each compound listed attains a standard cell class of 23447, with each number indicating a rating of performance in different areas of testing. Corzan and FlowGuard Gold have the same official cell class listing according to NSF. Actual testing of our compounds at NSF reveals our compounds attain higher cell class ratings equal to and even higher than Corzan and FlowGuard Gold. Also of note here is that all of the compounds used in Lewis pipe is compounded at Lewis on site.
The above information in should serve as proof of equivalency for Lewis Pipe versus Corzan and FlowGuard. Further information is available upon request.
